Control decks need to spend less to remove than your opponent uses to cast in order to be effective, and there's not a lot of removal in Lorcana yet, so Control decks are possible, but not currently prevalent
Learn and Lesson, like Companion, allows players to accumulate resources from outside of their main deck, although it's not an effect that has never existed within Magic: The Gathering - usually, it's called a "wish" effect
