I chose a view that leads you in from the Poolbeg lighthouse and the North Bull Lighthouse into town and up the River Liffey

In this piece I  placed the sea swimmers in bright colours complementing the sunrise in the foreground as well as a way to sent the scene and to draw you into the piece

Maybe it was the heady start to a new year, but one Friday night I sat and from memory did a drawing of my hometown. Masking, pouring, tilting and watching colours do their own thing on the page felt vibrant and scary and the results gives the town a jubilant feel.
