A cross between Blenheim Orange and Golden Noble

Hangdown Year:1 YR sometimes red below the skinA late mild bittersweet cider apple. Small green fruit with sweet, slightly astringent. The flesh is white, tender, crisp, juicy and sweet. Flowers late in May. Usually ready to drop by late October. A good cropper that does well on light soil. As the name suggests, its branches have a tendency to droop downwards. Said to have originated in Glastonbury where it is still often found.
