Those modified rules are often called house rules and Ill talk more about them in a later article since they can affect deck building but are not meant to be part of the basic guide, since the deck building guidelines are meant to work with or without them
The deck starts by casting a number of powerful creatures with spell synergy including cards that generate token creatures (Talrand, Murmuring Mystic, Third Path, Young Pyromancer, Baral and Kari), ping/direct damage (Guttersnipe, Kessig Flamebreather, Firebrand Archer, Electrostatic Field), card draw (Niv-Mizzet), cost reduction (Kaza, Haighty Djinn), any many more
