4" Vriesea Splenriet plaque You'll be happy to beSplenriet is a most splendid hybrid Bromeliad springing from Vriesea Splendens which was known and collected since 1840 in Trinidad and Venezuela. Stout, strappy leaves, strongly zebra striped in light and dark green tending to purplish sprout in an orderly rosette cradling a central cup that grabs rainwater and leaf debris to feed and water it in the jungle. From this cradle rises a flaming sword inflorescence in deep orange, the star of the show.
