Live Aid Kansas City Municipal Stadium Bashford Manor Mall opened inLive Aid was a benefit concert held in London and Philadelphia on July 13, 1985. The event grew out of the Band Aid single "Do They Know It's Christmas?" released in late 1984. That song featured many of the UK's top pop stars and was organized by Bob Geldof of Boomtown Rats and Midge Ure, then of Ultravox. Geldof wore a "Feed The World" T shirt during the songs recording. The song also inspired a benefit song by American artists in early 1985. All
