The Library Brock also contributed pieces toA very attractive 17th century oak plank coffer with a triple panelled front and chip carved decoration. The coffer is of early pegged construction and boasts thick oak planks, making it very substantial. There is a small area of historic woodworm to the bottom front right (please see photographs). The original iron loop hinges remain present; a later brass hinge has been fitted to secure the lid in place when upright. The colour of the oak is
