The easiest way to build a deck around Ascendancy is to include cards like Hunt for Specimens and Burn Down the House that double as both fodder and spells for the Ascendancy itself
The set has plenty of callbacks, and throwbacks, making it a fun time to get to, but it thankfully isnt a call back to the earliest days of Magics life as a limited format
