Considered the holy grail by many classic cane rod enthusiasts, this Carlson quad was the first rod made in 1979. Sam only made approximately 300 rods in his lifetime. The rod weighs 4 oz. and has a very pleasant casting feel, on the medium side of medium fast action. The rod casts a DT4 very impressively and also excels with a WF5 in shorter casting distance
