I really think Wizards did a great job making this commander, as it gives people an opportunity to explore a particular niche mechanic and put cards that wouldn't be seen anywhere else to use

it's become a staple in Cube and Constructed formats like Pauper

The Temporal Anchor Its hard to actually recommend playing The Temporal Anchor since its a 6-mana artifact with no effect for a full turn cycle

It's playable in major Eternal formats, namely Commander, Legacy, and Pauper

The character banished needs to have one strength or less but this works out since many of the early-game characters your opponent will play will most likely be weak anyway
