Id run this in most EDH decks that support its color identity, even without counter synergies

Bringing your Commander into play when a key top end creature in your deck dies is solid value, and then bringing back an engine or protection piece when your Commander dies is also very good

I'd say this compares quite nicely to that Kavu of the Loving

I think this card is strong and will likely find a place in Legacy, but I dont think Maverick is the right place for it
