The Childhood Home of Ringo Starr Kate Lloyd and subsequently gutted by fire10 Admiral Grove, Liverpool was the childhood home of Ringo Starr. He and his Mum moved from Ringos birthplace (Madryn St) to Arnold Grove when Ringo was three, as German bombing in the second world war damaged the property. Admiral Grove is where Ringo grew up, the place he called home until he moved to London in late 1963. He paid homage to both addresses in his 2008 song Liverpool 8 and remembered Admiral Grove fondly saying I remember the Admiral
