2023 Sciara – Sensazione di Lava – Etna Rosso – DOC Sauvignon blanc leading to an elegant finishA tiny production cuve from vines aged 50 to 80 years, grown on volcanic ash, rock and sand between 930 and 960 metres on Mount Etna. A blend of Nerello Mascalese and Grenache, fermented naturally with wild yeast and bottled with minimal intervention. Aromatic and savoury, with dried flowers, white pepper and a hint of pink grapefruit. Fine boned and mineral rather than powerful. Good with grilled fish, charcuterie, or something herb driven.
