If you are interested in thinking through all sorts of combinations, developing new game schemes, and you, in principle, like games for logic and tactics - choose MTG
This ends up attacking as a 3/3 with Vigilance pretty often, and while thats not the kind of size that is relevant all game long, it end sup being able to attack effectively for quite a while in most decks
That means you can afford to splash out a little bit more in black for cards that provide options and won't ever be dead weight in hand (obviously once you can cast it, everything with a cost can be dead when you can't pay it...)
Outside of RW, the Human Cleric is still good, but not top-pick worthy
The man lands are great mass removal protection, a great way to use spare mana as you approach the midgame and provide a lot of general utility for the deck
