LATE MEDIEVAL CHRISTIAN RING, C.1200-1400 AD, SIZE 9 ¼ 07/02/2024 Unusually made as a thickGilt bronze, size 9 with 2. 7mm rounded face band. Oval bezel engraved with a cross with the beam ends crutched in the manner of the Jerusalem cross popularized during the crusades. The inner angles with additional crutch marks, a degeneration of the original form by stylization. Quite crisp with the 24karat gold surface restored. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
